I held Saitama from 2021 to 2024. I bought the story, watched the numbers not add up, and criticized the team in public while it was still posting.

On October 9, 2024 the Department of Justice unsealed charges against the company's leadership. Two Saitama employees had already pleaded guilty to market manipulation and conspiracy. The SEC filed its own complaint the same day and published it as Litigation Release 26155 on October 15, 2024. Those are the receipts. I was right, and being right did not get the money back.

What it did get me was a stack of dead tokens, a cost-basis mess spread across wallets and exchanges, and a real question: what do you actually do with the wreckage?

Receipts

What this site is

The cleanup, written down. How a worthless token gets booked as a loss. How cost basis gets rebuilt when the exchange took the records with it. How what is left gets moved into accounts that do not tax every move. Every rule cited to the primary source, every figure dated, every rug post-mortem limited to what a court or a chain can show.

It is written in the first person because it happened to me. It is general circulation, not advice. Here is how it works and here is what I did, never what you should do.

What you won't get here

No token calls. No signal group. No "next 100x." No yield promises. No offshore exchanges. If I ever link a product, the disclosure comes before the link, every time.

Who is writing

Nobody you will be able to look up. The account is pseudonymous on purpose and stays that way: no name, no location, no employer. The credibility is in the receipts, not the byline.
